Admission Policies and Procedures

A very warm welcome to our prospective parents!

Admission Policies:
  • Placement in Year Group:
    • Placement of pupils is determined by age as of October 1st in the academic year of entry and follows:
    • Preschool: 3 years old.
    • FS1: 4 years old.
      • Consideration Criteria:
        • The first consideration (priority) is given to students who have siblings enrolled in the school. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate siblings, entry to EIS is by academic selection and place availability assessed on a case-by-case basis.
        • The second consideration is given to students who apply for transfer from schools offering similar academic curriculum.
        • The third consideration is given to students with the highest academic ability; keeping in mind place availability, class balance, and application date.
      • Only completed and qualified applications will be considered.
      • At NDIS, we aim to interview every child and his/her parents prior to entry. Each child must take a grade/age-appropriate placement test to ensure that readiness to join EIS.
      • The assessment fee of EGP1,000 is due on the day of the assessment. The assessment fee is non-refundable and does not guarantee a place in EIS.
      • Pupils are offered places based on their performance in the entry assessments; subject to satisfactory references from their current school.
      • The priority of acceptance is granted to pupils with the highest performance on the admissions entrance assessment.
      • Both parents are required to attend the parents’ interview (when applicable).
      • After successfully completing the school’s admissions process, you will receive the offer via email. Reasons behind pupil’s rejection are kept confidential.
      • Upon acceptance, a deadline will be announced for depositing an advance payment. If payment is not secured within this period, the school will not guarantee place availability.
      • Depending on the acceptance date, the first term’s tuition fee may also be due.
      • If an applicant has met the relevant criteria and standards but no places are available, they will be offered a place on the waiting list
      • All admissions supporting documents and other required documentation for the registration with the Ministry of Education should be submitted before the beginning of the academic year.
